The country is located on the southeastern slopes of the Giara, in the sub-region of the Marmilla. There are many orchards, olive groves and vineyards throughout the territory. The vine and olive tree have been cultivated since ancient times on the area and today the wine and oil produced are of excellent quality.

The economy is based mainly on agro-food production. Different typical products such as: “pistoccheddus de cappa”, legumes, delicious pecorino and goat cheeses, myrtle berries of the Giara, excellent meat (lamb, suckling pig) and wines from small local producers. In addition, the artisanal production of beautiful mastic baskets and rusk baskets is also highly valued.
