Sa Jara Manna is an island within an island, a magical place with unique characteristics, a basaltic plateau between Marmilla and Sarcidano. At 550 metres, it dominates the surrounding flat landscape of soft, fertile hills. An ecosystem with rare animals and plants is preserved on the summit. About half of its extension (43 square kilometres) falls within the municipality of Gesturi. The other half is divided between Genoni (16 square kilometres), Tuili (4.5 square kilometres) and Setzu (2.5 square kilometres). Its area also includes ten other municipalities Albagiara, Assolo, Barumini, Genuri, Gonnosnò, Nuragus, Nureci, Senis, Sini and Usellus. Each holds naturalistic, archaeological, artistic and ethnographic museums, reached by a network of itineraries.

This place is unique in the world. You can admire wild horses as well as numerous endemic fauna and flora. The Giara is amazing in every season. It changes over the months and in spring you can admire the white of the asfodelo and ranuncoli in the Paulis; in summer, the harshness of arid landscapes; in autumn, the oak forests, and in winter, listen to the ancestral silence, sometimes amplified by a blanket of snow.
